Founder & Owner

Betty McDonald, R.N., COHN (C), COHN-S, CRSP, President, has accumulated twelve years experience as an educator in occupational health and safety for community colleges and the private sector.  Betty has 25 years experience in several workplace settings in the manufacturing sector and 16 years experience in the roadwork and aggregate related industry.  Betty is a member of the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals as well as the Canadian Society of Safety Engineering.

What do the Designations mean?

CRSP(Canadian Registered Safety Professional) is an individual who has met the academic, experience and examination requirements of a national certification authority and whose knowledge and skills are continually upgraded through a mandatory maintenance program. A CRSP is committed to managing the organization’s health and safety issues and concerns according to the Code of Ethics.

COHN (Certified Occupational Health Nurse) is an occupational health nurse who has met the established experiential and educational criteria and who has passed a comprehensive written examination.  COHN (C) -Canada; COHN-S United States.

R.N. - is a Registered Nurse who has passed provincial exams and has received from the Ontario College of Nurses a Certificate of Competence.

Association Membership

  • Employer’s Advocacy Council- Member and involvement in the WSIB and Health and Safety Review for submissions to Government since 1996.
